NFBPA National Conference

TAC Companies participated in the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (www.nfbpa.org) annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona from April 21st–25th. TAC is a member of the Corporate Advisory Council and supports the mission of this twenty-four-year-old organization to improve and support the participation of African Americans in public administration at all levels. TAC works with many members of this organization to deliver services to the public sector.

New Faces at TAC

TAC would like to welcome the following new employees:

Terry Kenner, formerly of Clark Construction Group, LLC, and a veteran in minority business development and community outreach, joined TAC Companies as a Project Manager in our M/DBE Consulting Practice. Terry brings twenty years of MBE experience from one of the flagship construction companies in the country. Terry has worked on a multitude of projects across the United States ensuring that the MBE community was appropriately represented and that contract goals were achieved. “Terry is a great asset to our team and we expect her to make an immediate impact on our business,“ said Ron Adolph, President and CEO of TAC Companies.

Sonya Lucas, a Certified Project Manager (PMI), joined the TAC consulting practice to lead the Compliance Department. Sonya has a master’s degree in Organization Development/Knowledge Management from George Mason University. Prior to joining TAC, Sonya was a Project Manager for the National Science Foundation where she managed a $350M project and a $100M Small Business Innovation Research Program. Ron Adolph, President and CEO of TAC Companies said “We welcome the internal controls, project methodology, and discipline that Sonya brings to our practice and look forward to the effects of her continuous improvement mindset.”

Nicole Copeland joined TAC as Project Manager to lead the DBE Outreach and Supportive Services Process for the Intercounty Connector Project as part of the ICC Corridor Partners Team for the Maryland Department of Transportation. Nicole brings a wealth of experience working with MBEs/DBEs as former Certification Manager for the District of Columbia Department of Small and Local Business Development from December 2001 to June 2006. Nicole has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Howard University, considerable knowledge of government regulations, and a firm commitment to the development of MBEs/DBEs. “Nicole will quickly add value to our company and the ICC Project. We are thrilled to have her on our team,” said Ron Adolph, President and CEO of TAC Companies.

TAC Companies received Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Minority Disadvantaged Business Enterprise M/DBE Certification. “This certification gives our company access to additional opportunities in the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County,” said Ron Adolph, President and CEO of TAC Companies.
